Composite Veneers & Bonding
MINIMALLY INVASIVE SMILE MAKEOVERS FOR OATLEY
WHAT ARE COMPOSITE VENEERS & BONDING?
Composite is the material that dentists use for fillings, and this can be moulded over the front of the tooth, as a veneer, to change the shape and shade of the tooth for a more cosmetic result. This material can also be added to the bottom or side of the tooth in small amounts to change the shape of small, broken or worn teeth, this known as composite bonding.
WHY WOULD I CHOOSE COMPOSITE VENEERS OR BONDING?
Composite veneers are more cost effective than porcelain, and often do not require any natural tooth to be removed to complete. This is a big bonus for many patients. The downside of composite vs porcelain is that the material is weaker and can chip more frequently, over time they pick up stain and lose their shine, and do not have the natural pearlescence of hand crafted porcelain
